Screening Schedule

Intake Period: April 1, 2019

Round 1

  • Internet registration period:
    -August 1-15, 2018
  • Application submission period:
    -August 7-16, 2018 (Application materials must reach us by 5:00 p.m. on August 16)
  • Interview date:
    -August 31, 2018
  • Announcement of successful applicants:
    -September14, 2018 (11:00 a.m.)

Round 2

  • Internet registration period:
    -December 12-25, 2018
  • Application submission period:
    -December 20-26, 2018 (Application materials must reach us by 5:00 p.m. on December 26)
  • Interview date:
    -January 24, 2019
  • Announcement of successful applicants:
    -January 31, 2019 (3:00 p.m.)(EJU screening method)
    -February 13, 2019 (3:00 p.m.)(National Center Test screening method)

Application Eligibility

Applicants who have completed a 12-year standard education curriculum or expect to complete in March 2019 or the equivalent

Application Requirements

1) Applicants must take any one of the following academic proficiency tests.

A. Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students(EJU):

Required subjects: Math (Course 2), Science (Physics), and Science (Chemistry). No Japanese language subject is required. Examination language can be chosen either English or Japanese by applicant's preference.

B. Japan National Center Test for University Admission:

Required subject: Mathematics I・A, Mathematics II・B, Science(2) (take two from physics, chemistry, and biology)

2) Applicants must take English proficiency tests such as TOEIC.

3) The test results must meet the requirement.

<Round 1> One of each score of 1) and 2) must meet any of the following minimum conditions.
<Round 2> Minimum conditions are not required. *passing level is about same as <Round 1>.

Screening Methods

All applicants are evaluated based on the following information provided and interview.
*Same evaluation criteria apply both <Round 1> and <Round 2> .

  • EJU or Japan National Center Test for University Admission score
  • English Proficiency Test Score
  • Essay (English or Japanese)
  • Transcripts
  • A statement of reason for applying (English or Japanese)
  • An interview (in both Japanese and English)

※Interview via the Internet is available for international applicants.

  • Excellent Student Support Program is available.
    (Admission Fee: Half Exemption for top 5 students of entrance exam results*)
  • Other support is also available.**

Application Eligibility

4) GAC general exam (for international students)
  • Graduated from a technical college or expect to do so in the 2019 academic year
  • Attended a college or university for at least two years or equivalent
  • Basically TOEIC(SP) 550points+ or equivalent: Condition changes depending on the class ranking

4) GAC general exam (for international students)

  • Online application registration: April 22 - May 8, 2019
  • Application submission by mail: April 24 - May 9, 2019 (Last day -5:00 p.m.)
  • Interview date: May 31, 2019
  • Announcement of successful applicants:10:00 a.m., June 17, 2019

4) GAC general exam (for international students)

An overall judgment based on followings:

  • Report submitted by the president of the applicant's college (for applicants who are not technical college students, the transcripts and letter of recommendation)
  • Statement of reason for applying (English or Japanese)
  • Essay (English or Japanese)
  • English proficiency test scores
  • Interview

Admission fee exemption and other financial support will be prepared for eligible and highly qualified students.

Tuition fees

Academic fee for undergraduate is 535,800 Japanese yen/year(267,900 yen for one semester) for 2019 enrollment.
