Application Schedule

Intake Period: April 1, 2021

  • Internet Registration Period:
    -October 16-29, 2020
  • Application Submission Period:
    -October 26-30, 2020 (Application materials must reach us by 5:00 p.m. on October 30)
  • Date of Examination:
    -November 26, 2020 (Math and Interview)
  • Announcement of Successful Applicants:
    -December 11, 2020 (11:00 a.m.)

Application Eligibility

Applicants must have graduated or be expected to graduate from high school in Japan in March 2021, or those with equivalent qualifications.

Application Requirements

(1) Applicants who have taken the English proficiency test designated by the university on or after November, 2018, and must meet any of the following minimum conditions.

TOEIC L&R(SP) Score 550
TOEFL iBT 42 points
IELTS* Overall Band Score 4.0
Practical English Proficiency Test (Eiken) Level 2
GTEC (CBT) Old score by 2018 880
GTEC (4 skills) 960
GTEC (3 skills) Taken the examination in 2018 570
  • *IELTS (General Training Module) is not applicable.
  • The official scores of the English Language Test must arrive before the application period or you will not be allowed to take the examination. If you plan to apply, please contact the English Language Testing Agency as soon as possible and request them to send your score to TUT. Scores will be accepted even if they arrive at the university before the application period.

(2)Applicants must be able to make a promise of admission if they pass the test.

Application Guidelines

The application process for first-year international students had been divided into two parts 【General Course】 and 【GAC Course】,but from this year it has been integrated into the【GAC First-year Selection for International Students】.

  • Application Submission Period:
    -December 18-24, 2020 (Application materials must reach us by 5:00 p.m. on December 24)

    -January 25, 2021 (Interview)It's been canceled.
  • Announcement of successful applicants:
    -February 5, 2021 (11:00 a.m.)

Change in the selection methods for the First-year of 2021 Selection for International Students(Global Technology Architects Course)(cancellation of the interview)

Application Eligibility

(1) Those who do not possess Japanese nationality (those who have permanent residence are not eligible.)

(2) Those who have completed or are expected to complete 12 years of schooling in a foreign country, or who have an equivalent level of education.

Application Requirements

(1) Took three subject tests, mathematics (course 2) and science (two of the following: physics, chemistry, and biology), and received a total score of 240 or more on these tests Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students given by the Japan Services Association in 2020

※Applicants can submit a copy of the exam voucher for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students instead of the score report. It will be referred by the university.


(2) Took one of the following English proficiency tests in January 2019 or later and earned the following score for the respective test.

TOEIC L&R(SP) Score of 550 or greater
TOEFL iBT Score of 42 or greater
IELTS* Overall Band Score Score of 4.0 or greater
  • *IELTS (General Training Module) is not applicable.
